Accepted Papers

1. Register Online Here

Please read carefully the following information concerning the registration procedures, especially if you are the prospective presenter of an accepted paper or if you need to guarantee inclusion of your accepted paper in the proceedings.

An accepted paper will be published in the proceedings only if the full-fee registration payment for one of the authors is received and correctly processed by August 19, 2024 – no exceptions. Also, one author must present the paper at the symposium in person. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if it is not presented at the conference.

Only member or non-member fees are allowed to cover the publication of an accepted paper. To qualify for member rates, the membership number must be provided in the registration form. Student registration fees do NOT cover the publication of an accepted paper. If the author registering to cover the paper publication is a student, he/she has to pay the appropriate member or non-member fee. Members to whom the society bylaws grant special discounts (e.g., Students, IEEE Life) cannot use the discounted rates to cover the publication of an accepted paper, they have to pay the member fee.

One author registration will cover the publication expenses of ONE accepted paper. For each additional accepted paper associated to the same registration, a $50 USD printing contribution will be charged. In the case no registration has been received and correctly processed to cover the paper publication, the conference organizers will contact the authors before the paper is removed from the proceedings. 

You will be required to enter your registration code prior to uploading your paper.

YOUR PAPER WILL BE PUBLISHED WITHOUT THE AUTHOR’S COMPLETED REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT.

2. Generate an IEEE Xplore compatible manuscript using PDF Xpress

All final manuscripts must be generated using the PDF Xpress tool.
To generate the IEEE Xplore compatible PDF file of your paper, follow these steps:

  1. Create your IEEE PDF eXpress account: https://ieee-pdf-express.org/
  2. Conference ID: 47465X
  3. The first time you access the system, please follow the link to new user. Please note that in order to access the service, you need to allow the use of cookies from the PDF eXpress web site. Once you have registered as a new user:
    1. Upload the source file (containing your paper) for conversion.
    2. Receive by e-mail the IEEE Xplore-compatible PDF of your paper.

3. Upload your Xplore compatible PDF manuscript to EDAS

  1. Log in at https://edas.info/31900 
  2. Select the “My Papers” tab
  3. Select the paper title you wish to upload the manuscript for to be directed to the paper record
  4. Specify the presenter and complete the presenter’s biography form – Please declare who will be presenting the paper at the conference. Once in your paper record, click the Change/Add icon in the Presenter row. Indicate who will present the paper and click Choose presenter. Presenters must fill out a short bio (50 word max) on EDAS by going to the ‘My Profile’ tab and filling in the information in the ‘Brief bio’ field. Information in this form will be used by the session chairperson to introduce the presenter.
  5. Complete the electronic copyright form via EDAS – IEEE is enforcing strict copyright rules. For your convenience, the copyright form is made available electronically through EDAS. To access the copyright form, select the icon in the copyright column within your paper record.  *NO PAPER WILL BE PUBLISHED WITHOUT THE SUBMITTED COPYRIGHT FORM.
  6. Upload your paper – Bypass the “Review Manuscript” option in your EDAS paper record and upload your paper directly to “Final Manuscript” by selecting the upload icon. 

Submissions are closed. We have 70 papers from 12 countries and look forward to seeing all in August!

Prospective Authors are invited to submit an abstract that will be peer-reviewed using the online submission system. Each abstract should reflect appropriateness for the scope of the Conference and should be original. It must be prepared according to the abstract preparation guidelines shown in the EDAS submission form. A submission implies willingness to register and present the work if the paper is accepted for presentation at the Conference. PLEASE NOTE: For each paper per registration in excess of one, an additional paper fee of $50 will be charged.

Initial abstracts are due by May 1, 2024, and will be reviewed for approval. The maximum length for the final paper will be 10 pages. Accepted Papers will be included in the IEEE Xplore digital library and indexed subject to IEEE approval.

Authors of accepted papers must register for AUTOTESTCON 2024 and attend to present their papers.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Complying with IEEE guidelines, an AUTOTESTCON 2024 abstract shall be written as a single paragraph and should be between 300 and 500 words long. It shall be self-contained and should concisely & accurately summarize the contents of your paper. The Author or Author’s shall also be identified. Abstracts containing less than 300 words will be rejected.

  1. File sizes should not exceed 40MB.
  2. The IEEE guidance related to the use of artificial intelligence (AI). 
    1. The use of content generated by artificial intelligence (AI) in a paper (including but not limited to text, figures, images, and code) shall be disclosed in the acknowledgments section of the paper. The AI system used shall be identified, and specific sections of the paper that use AI-generated content shall be identified and accompanied by a brief explanation regarding the level at which the AI system was used to generate the content.
    2. The use of AI systems for editing and grammar enhancement is common practice and, as such, is generally outside the intent of the above policy. In this case, disclosure as noted above is recommended.
  3. Author lists should be carefully considered before submission. 
    1. The IEEE considers individuals who meet all the following criteria to be authors:
      1. Made a significant intellectual contribution to the theoretical development, system or experimental design, prototype development, and/or the analysis and interpretation of data associated with the work contained in the paper.
      2. Contributed to drafting the paper or reviewing and/or revising it for intellectual content.
      3. Approved the final version of the paper as accepted for publication, including references.
    2. Contributors who do not meet all the above criteria may be included in the Acknowledgment section of the paper. Omitting an author who contributed to your paper or including a person who did not fulfill all the above requirements is considered a breach of publishing ethics by the IEEE.
    3. Changes to the author list post Abstract acceptance are not allowed. Should this occur, the paper will be rejected.
    4. If you are collaborating with other authors, you will all need to agree on which author will be designated as the corresponding author. The corresponding author is the single point of contact between the authors and the AUTOTESTCON 2024 Technical Program Chair.
      1. In addition to all the authorship criteria described above, the corresponding author is also responsible for:
        1. Including as co-authors all persons appropriate and non-appropriate.
        2. Obtaining from all co-authors their assent to be designated as such, as well as their approval of the final version of the paper as accepted for AUTOTESTCON 2024. 
        3. Keeping all co-authors apprised of the status of the paper. This includes furnishing all co-authors with copies of the reviewers' comments and a copy of the published version, as appropriate.
        4. Tip: Select your paper's corresponding author before submitting to AUTOTESTCON 2024. Co-authors remain responsible for work submitted, reviewed, and published under their names.
  4. The paper or abstract should be thoroughly reviewed for proper grammar before being submitted. Papers or abstracts with poor grammar will be rejected.
    1. If needed, the IEEE offers ‘Paperpal Preflight’ to assist authors with checking their manuscript for any grammar issues prior to submission. 
  5. All research work should be carefully referenced. For more information to avoid plagiarism. See #8 below.
  6. The paper should not be submitted elsewhere at the same time it is submitted to AUTOTESTCON 2024. Papers submitted to AUTOTESTCON 2024 should not be under consideration for peer review at any other journal (duplicate submission).
  7. The IEEE defines plagiarism as the use of another’s ideas, processes, results, or words without explicitly acknowledging the original author and source. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and is considered a serious breach of professional conduct, with potentially severe ethical and legal consequences.
  8. Each Abstract and Paper submitted to AUTOTESTCON 2024 will be scanned for plagiarism, including similarity to an author’s own work. 
    1. Submissions that plagiarize another author’s work will be rejected, and cases may be reported to the IEEE Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) department.
    2. The IEEE accepts expanded versions of an author’s own referenced conference papers, if the similarity is less than 35%. In such cases, authors are expected to describe the connection in the manuscript and disclose it.  If the overlap is higher (effectively duplicate publication) or the source paper is not referenced, the paper will be rejected.
    3. Reuse of an author’s own thesis or dissertation is allowed, if it is cited and has not been published elsewhere.
    4. Preprints of an authors’ paper to their own web site, their employer’s site, or to another server that invites constructive comment from colleagues and provides a publication time stamp are allowed. Upon submission of a paper to AUTOTESTCON 2024, an author is required to transfer copyright in the paper to IEEE, and the author must update any previously posted version of the paper with a prominently displayed IEEE copyright notice. Upon publication of a paper by the IEEE, the author must replace any previously posted electronic versions of the paper with either (1) the full citation to the IEEE work with a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), or (2) the accepted version only with the DOI (not the IEEE-published version).
  9. The IEEE recognizes that technical research is often published first as a conference paper with preliminary findings. As those initial findings become fully developed, the conference paper can evolve into a journal or magazine article which contains your more developed research and conclusions. IEEE supports this evolutionary publishing process provided that:
    1. Both the conference paper and journal article undergo standard peer review.
    2. The journal article contains substantially more technical information than the conference paper.
    3. The journal article cites the conference paper and clearly indicates how the two differ.
  10. Report Your Data Accurately
    1. Readers of your paper rely on you to communicate your research findings fully and report your data accurately. Ensure you are showing the full picture by avoiding fabrication, falsification, and image manipulation during your research and when you are writing or revising your paper.
  11. Reusing graphics from the Internet
    1. You will need to request permission to reproduce content that has been made available previously, either in a publication or on the Internet. This may include text, graphics, tables, or other materials.
    2. Reuse permission must be granted by the copyright owner, which is often the publisher of the original work. Avoid reusing content when it is unclear who the copyright owner is or what limitations are placed on reusing the content.
  12. Inappropriate use of citations
    1. Citing an irrelevant source for the purpose of artificially inflating citation metrics is considered a breach of ethics. Only cite relevant sources that legitimately contribute to your paper.

Abstract Submission

Each lead author must visit the EDAS web site and establish an account with a username and password.

  1. Visit www.edas.info and click the New User button.
  2. Create your profile. Only the five fields with the red asterisk are required. *It is very important that your name and affiliation associated with your EDAS account are correct and match the name and affiliation that will be listed on your paper. These fields are first & last name, affiliation (company or organization), country, e-mail address, and status. When the fields are filled in, check the Privacy Policies box and click the Add Person button. [note: if you select USA as the country, you will get a message asking for your state]
  3. You will receive an e-mail containing your password. Your email address and the given password must later be used to access the system during the following steps, so be careful to remember it.
  4. You can then return to the EDAS log-in page (http://www.edas.info) and change your assigned password to one that is easier to remember. To do this, click on the My Profile tab, and then click on change your password. Be sure to record your user name, password and ID number for later reference.

Submission of Abstracts

Please login at https://edas.info/N31900 and follow the following steps:

  1. Enter the title of the paper.
  2. Provide an abstract of 300-500 words in the text box indicated.
  3. Select the Topic Area(s) your paper falls under. Note that the final Track/Session selection will be made later by the Technical Program Committee.
  4. Click the "Register Paper" button.
  5. Enter the other paper authors.
  6. Only abstracts are required for the April 1st submission deadline.

If authors would like to post their papers electronically on any website, any ftp site, or any other electronic dissemination technique, they must include the IEEE Copyright notice on the initial screen displaying the IEEE-copyrighted material.
